A glazed round Japanese bonsai pot - Houtoku.
 
The satin green crater glaze that has pulled back during the firing into hundreds of fine rings and oil-spot pools, with iron speckle breaking warm brown through the surface and a cooler blue-green gathering in the feet and beneath the rim. No two firings of this glaze are alike, and the depth and movement here are unusually good.
